Air Plants are the easiest plants to grow!?

With the ongoing trend to turn our homes into a magical green oasis. There are some people who just cannot get the hang of it. Keeping plants alive is just the biggest challenge of it all. Don’t worry not everyone has green fingers. If you happen to  be one of these people I am referring too. Then I may just have the perfect solution for you. Air plants are water wise and easy to grow!

?What is so amazing about air plants?

Air plants are an amazing plant for any home as they are water wise and easy to grow and keep alive. If you have ever wanted to create your own green Oasis now is the perfect time. The real question you may be asking is why are they so easy? Well that is rather simple to answer:

  1. Water Savvy
  2. Low maintenance
  3. Require little to no water

We have so many wonderful air plants on offer, check out our website for more information on each plant. To make things easier for you we have the following beautiful, succulent and amazing air plants on offer:

  • Melanocrater
  • Caput Medusae
  • Tillandsia Multiflora
  • Argentea
  • Ionantha Ionantha

My personal favourite plant is Tillandsia Multiflora because it has the ability to purify the air. Comment what your favourite air plant is below. If you would like to purchase any of our air plants you can on Green Light website. We also offer wooden blocks which make the perfect accessory for your plant.

?How do you water your air plant?

As mentioned above these plants are so easy to maintain as they require minimal effort. I have however listed the important things you need to do.

  1. Summer: Spray weekly
  2. If temperatures exceed 35 degrees spray twice a week.
  3. Winter- Spray every second week.
  4. If in doubt, rather don’t water .Tillandsias Air-Plants in particular do not like to be too wet.

I love reading about the benefits too. I found a very interesting article that suggests that these plants purify the air we breathe. If you are interested in reading more about health benefits click here.

Lastly, air plants are the perfect little Christmas gift for those that are both good and not so good at keeping plants alive. Our green house is currently full so get your orders in soon and start planning your Christmas gifts in advance.
