An hour that can change decades. Every year, at 8:30 pm on the last Saturday of March, millions of people across the world join in raising awareness of the environmental issues facing our planet. Earth Hour is more than just an hour for the planet – it’s a movement for our future. Over the years, entire cities, major landmarks and millions of households have turned off their lights, causing the world to go completely dark in taking a stance.
The global circumstances are different due to Covid-19, therefore what will be happening this year is the following. The Earth Hour Organisation is inviting everyone to create the same unmissable sight yet online. On the night of March 27th 2021, they will be posting a much-watch video on all of their social media pages and all you have to do is share it. Their goal is to put the spotlight on our planet and make it the most watched video in the world and the message of environmental conservation reaches millions of people.
How brilliant is that! We all spend a significant amount of time on social media and now by simply being present on these platforms and sharing 1 video we have the power to make a serious difference. I encourage all of you to join Microgarden and participate in this year’s world movement. As 2021 presents an incredible opportunity to push world leaders into action. By speaking up for nature this Earth Hour, we can put the spotlight on our planet and spark global conversations on the serious need for change. Let’s do this!
